Suryakumar Yadav to donate Asia Cup match fees to Pahalgam terror attack victims and armed forces

Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav announced he would donate his entire Asia Cup match fees to the families of the victims of the April Pahalgam terror attack and to India’s Armed Forces, declaring that he “stands by” those affected and dedicating India’s wins to them. He also reiterated that India had refused to accept the Asia Cup trophy from ACC chief Mohsin Naqvi (who is also PCB chairman), even though Naqvi reportedly took the trophy with him. Yadav expressed disappointment, saying he had never seen a champion team denied their trophy, and that in his view the real trophies were his teammates and support staff.
