Advocates claim a natural skin “reset,” but experts strongly disagree. Dermatologists stress that gentle daily cleansing, hydration and sun protection remain essential to remove pollutants, balance sebum, and prevent infections .
Medical voices caution against neglect: without routine cleansing, dirt and bacteria can accumulate, heightening the risk of blocked pores, dermatitis, and fungal outbreaks. While simplifying skincare by reducing harsh products may benefit certain conditions, total elimination of hygiene practices is widely deemed unsafe.
