Preity Zinta Reflects on Tension with Kareena Kapoor: “I Do Have a Problem”

Bollywood star Preity Zinta has candidly addressed ongoing friction with actress Kareena Kapoor, revealing in a recent interview that respect does not stem from silence. “I don’t have a problem with her, but I do have a problem when she ignores me,” Zinta stated, recalling a time she felt snubbed unless Kareena was around host Karan Johar.

The chilly dynamic dates back to Zinta securing the lead role in Kal Ho Naa Ho, which was initially offered to Kapoor. While Zinta expressed gratitude, she criticised Kapoor’s evasive social behaviour. Kapoor later apologised on the same show, admitting regret over skipping the role and acknowledging Zinta’s portrayal.
