Mannat Makeover: Gauri Khan Secures ₹1.35-Lakh Flat for Staff

Gauri Khan has rented a 2-BHK apartment in Mumbai’s Pali Hill to house staff while Shah Rukh Khan’s landmark bungalow, Mannat, undergoes a major facelift. Lease documents accessed by Zapkey show a three-year leave-and-licence deal running from 10 April 2025 to 9 April 2028, at a monthly rent of ₹1.35 lakh and a ₹4.05 lakh deposit, with a 5 per cent annual escalation. The 725-sq-ft unit in Pankaj Premises Co-operative Society includes two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a hall and kitchen.

Meanwhile, the Khan family has shifted to twin 10,500-sq-ft luxury duplexes in the nearby Puja Casa building. Mannat itself is being expanded by two additional floors—a project personally overseen by designer Gauri, who created the home’s original interiors. The temporary accommodation ensures household operations continue smoothly as the iconic sea-facing residence prepares for its next, grander chapter.
