Actor Chitrangda Singh has spoken out in support of those in the entertainment industry who undergo cosmetic procedures, criticising the public for its quick judgement and harsh trolling.
In a recent interview, Singh called out the double standards faced by celebrities, stating that while the industry demands physical perfection, it simultaneously shames individuals for seeking enhancements. “Everyone wants to look perfect, and when someone does something about it, they’re trolled. It’s unnecessary,” she said.
The actor emphasised that personal choices regarding appearance should not be grounds for ridicule, especially in a profession where image plays a crucial role. She urged audiences to be more empathetic and less judgmental, noting that trolling can have deeper psychological effects.
Singh’s remarks have reignited the conversation around body autonomy and the toxic scrutiny public figures often endure.
