Nepal unrest disrupts travel and trade at Bihar-Nepal border

Unrest in Nepal, especially in Birgunj, has disrupted travel and trade at the Bihar-Nepal border. Violent protests over a social media ban and anti-corruption have led to police firing and panic near Raxaul, India. Many tourists and traders have turned back. Homes of Nepali political leaders were torched, and protests spread across several Terai towns. Trade is affected with trucks stuck at Raxaul customs. Indian authorities have tightened security, but border movement on the Indian side remains normal.
