Mumbai has been named the happiest city in Asia for 2025, according to a global survey by Time Out that gathered responses from over 18,000 residents across major cities. The study found that 94% of Mumbaikars feel happy living in the city, 89% believe they are happier there than anywhere else, and 88% think the people around them are generally happy. Moreover, 87% of respondents said the city’s overall sense of happiness has increased in recent years. The ranking credits Mumbai’s vibrant culture, strong community spirit, diverse food scene, and resilient lifestyle for fostering positivity despite its fast pace and challenges. The city’s blend of tradition and modernity, along with its inclusive energy and entertainment-driven atmosphere, continues to make it one of the most dynamic and joyful urban centers in Asia.
