Sony has launched its 2025 flagship WH-1000XM6 wireless ANC (active noise cancellation) headphones in India at a price of ₹39,990, available in three colours: Black, Platinum Silver and Midnight Blue. The new model is built in collaboration with top studios (Sterling Sound, Battery Studios, Coast Mastering) to deliver studio-grade sound, and brings a host of upgrades including a new HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3 (which is said to be seven times faster than before), real-time input from 12 microphones, an “Adaptive NC Optimizer,” and smarter “Auto Ambient Sound” mode. It supports High-Resolution Audio over wired and wireless connections (with LDAC), along with features like Edge-AI upscaling (DSEE Extreme), 360 Reality Audio Upmix for Cinema, Background Music Effect, Game EQ, and a six-microphone beamforming array for clearer calls with voice isolation. On the design side, the headphones feature a wider, pressure-free vegan leather headband with asymmetrical layout, stretchable earpads for a snug seal, and a metal-injected folding hinge for improved durability. The WH-1000XM6 is now available in India via Sony Centers, Sony’s ShopatSC website, Amazon, and select offline retailers like Croma and Reliance Digital.
