Apple Rebrands iOS 19 → iOS 26, Unveils “Liquid Glass” Design at WWDC 2025

At WWDC 2025 tonight, Apple is set to unveil its next major iPhone update—iOS 26—marking a shift from numeric versioning to a year‑based naming convention.

Central to the overhaul is a “Liquid Glass” interface, borrowing translucent, visionOS‑inspired aesthetics for a sleeker, unified user experience. The update also emphasizes artificial intelligence enhancements: smarter battery optimization tailored to user habits, live translation through AirPods, and developer access to Apple’s AI models. Core apps—Phone, Safari, Camera, and Messages—are slated for redesigns, possibly supporting polls and RCS messaging. A new centralized Games app replaces Game Center, offering subscription access and achievement tracking.

While major Siri upgrades may come later, tonight’s release signals a substantial leap forward in design, functionality, and cross‑device consistency. The public beta opens mid‑July, with full rollout expected alongside the iPhone 17 this September
