Next-Gen iPad May Feature Portrait-Oriented Front Camera: Report

Apple is reportedly planning a key design shift in its upcoming iPad lineup. According to new reports, the 2025 iPad internally referred to as the M5 model could feature a front camera placed on the longer edge of the tablet, aligning with landscape use.

This move would mark the first time Apple introduces a portrait-oriented camera on its standard iPad, following a similar change made in last year’s iPad 10th Gen. The design tweak aims to enhance user experience during video calls, particularly in horizontal mode, now widely used with stands and keyboards.
