India cancel scheduled practise and press conference amid spiralling tension with Pakistan in Asia Cup

India cancelled its practice session and press meet on September 17, just hours after Pakistan did the same, as tensions in the Asia Cup escalated following India’s refusal to shake hands with Pakistani players in the tournament opener, a gesture India said was to honor terror victims, while Pakistan lodged a protest, sought the referee’s removal, and faced rejection from the ICC.
