Sanju Samson, long-standing skipper and wicket-keeper batter for Rajasthan Royals (RR), is reportedly on the verge of a trade to Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ahead of the IPL 2026 season. According to multiple reports, the deal would see RR sending Samson to CSK in exchange for veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, whose name in the swap is said to be fixed, and another player from CSK, likely Sam Curran. While RR had also expressed interest in pacer Matheesha Pathirana, CSK is reportedly reluctant to part with him. Both franchises are said to have obtained preliminary buy-in from the players, but the deal remains subject to written consent and formal ratification by the league’s governing body.
