The Hong Kong Sixes 2025 match saw India national cricket team suffer a second successive defeat after being stunned by United Arab Emirates national cricket team by four wickets. Chasing India’s total of 107/3, propelled by half-century knocks of 50 from Abhimanyu Mithun and 42 from Dinesh Karthik, the UAE got off to a flying start with Khalid Shah and Saghir Khan combining for 42 runs in the first two overs and eventual finish by Muhammad Arfan, who smashed a massive six on the penultimate ball to seal the win. Meanwhile for India, Stuart Binny and Bharath Chipli picked up two wickets between them, but it was far from enough. The defeat followed India’s earlier loss to Kuwait national cricket team by 27 runs, leaving India with work to do ahead of their remaining fixture versus Nepal national cricket team.
