Australian batter overtakes Virat Kohli in all-time T20 runs – See the updated rankings

Move over, King Kohli—there’s a new number five in town. David Warner, cricket’s very own pocket dynamo, has leapfrogged Virat Kohli on the all-time T20 run charts, and he did it with all the subtlety of a fireworks show.

The Aussie left-hander lit up The Hundred on August 12, cracking a glorious 71 off 51 balls for London Spirit against Manchester Originals. Twelve fours, one six, and a strike rate pushing 140—Warner wasn’t just batting, he was making art. Too bad the masterpiece couldn’t save London from falling short of Manchester’s 164-run target.

With this knock, Warner now sits at 13,545 T20 runs in 419 matches—just two runs clear of Kohli, which makes the whole thing deliciously dramatic. And he’s not stopping. In his debut Hundred season, Warner’s batting like a man who wants the whole leaderboard for himself: 150 runs in just three games, averaging 75.00 with a strike rate of 141.50, plus two half-centuries to keep the bowlers sweating.
