Bone cancer, though relatively rare, can be life-threatening if not detected early. Health experts warn that several symptoms are often dismissed as routine discomforts, delaying timely diagnosis. Persistent bone pain is one of the most common yet ignored signs, often mistaken for muscular strain or injury-related soreness. Swelling or tenderness near a bone, especially if it continues to worsen, should raise red flags. Unexplained fractures bones breaking with minimal trauma could point to weakened bone structure caused by a tumour. Fatigue that doesn't improve with rest and unintentional weight loss may also accompany the disease, indicating its progression.
Doctors urge individuals not to disregard persistent or unusual symptoms, particularly those involving bones and joints. Early medical attention could significantly improve outcomes. Timely imaging tests and diagnosis can help manage or even cure bone cancer if detected early.
