Apple Juice and your body: Benefits, risks, and what to watc ..

An apple a day keeps the doctor away—we’ve all grown up hearing that. But what about apple juice? You’d think it’d be just as healthy, right? Well… it’s a little more complicated than that.

Apple juice has been a childhood favorite—sweet, golden, and always around at picnics and school tiffins. As we grew up, it found a new place on brunch tables and inside fancy mason jars. It feels healthy, and to be fair, it does have its perks—like antioxidants, hydration, and that comforting nostalgic taste.

But here’s the catch: most apple juices are high in natural sugar, low in fiber, and nowhere near as filling as biting into the real fruit. So while it may quench your thirst and give you a quick energy kick, it won’t keep you full—or your blood sugar steady.

So, is it terrible? Not at all. Just… don’t crown it king of health drinks. If you’re sipping on it, go for the cloudy, no-added-sugar versions and maybe don’t treat it like water. Like most things in life: balance is key.
