Param Sundari' becomes Sidharth Malhotra’s 10th biggest grosser beating 'Ittefaq'

Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor’s latest outing, Param Sundari, has swiftly found its rhythm at the box office, sailing past the thirty-crore mark in just four days. The film opened with respectable numbers, gained momentum through the weekend, and, despite the predictable Monday slowdown, managed to close its first lap at Rs 30.25 crore. With this, it edges out Ittefaq to become Malhotra’s tenth highest-grosser.

The success lies not merely in figures but in the spark between its leads. Their on-screen chemistry has been the talking point, drawing audiences back and giving the film that vital word-of-mouth push. A Friday debut of Rs 7.25 crore grew to Rs 9.25 crore on Saturday and peaked at Rs 10.25 crore on Sunday. Monday’s slide to Rs 3.50 crore was expected, yet it did little to diminish the overall impact.

In the larger picture of Malhotra’s career, Param Sundari now joins the company of Ek Villain, Kapoor & Sons, and Student of the Year. Though it still lags far behind his century-crossing Ek Villain, its performance proves that the actor remains a steady box office presence.

The road ahead, however, is crowded. With releases like Baaghi 4 and The Bengal Files waiting in the wings, the film’s true test will be its weekday resilience and its ability to hold its ground against new challengers. If it manages to sustain, surpassing Baar Baar Dekho and Yodha should be within reach before the week is out.

For now, Param Sundari has given Sidharth another feather in his cap and reinforced Janhvi’s growing appeal in the romantic drama space. The coming weekend will decide whether this pairing is remembered as a passing charm or a lasting cinematic chapter.
