Farah Khan has responded to speculation that she unfollowed Deepika Padukone on Instagram by clarifying that they never followed each other to begin with, in fact, they had agreed during the Happy New Year shoot to avoid Instagram interactions and instead stick to direct messages or calls, since Deepika doesn’t like public birthday wishes. She also explained that her remark about "8-hour workdays" was a playful jab at her cook, not a dig at Deepika, and added that she was one of the first few people to visit Deepika when her daughter Dua was born. Further, Farah shared light-hearted moments from her visit to Rohit Saraf’s house, teasing that Deepika now works only eight hours a day and joking about her absence from their show, in the backdrop of reports that Deepika exited Kalki 2 and Spirit over demands for limited working hours, higher pay, and profit sharing.
