'We shared a hug just last week...': Akshay Kumar mourns sudden demise of veteran star Asrani

Actor Akshay Kumar expressed deep sorrow at the unexpected passing of veteran actor Asrani, revealing that they had shared a warm hug just a week earlier on the set of their upcoming film Haiwaan. He lauded Asrani for his legendary comic timing, citing their collaborations in hit films like Hera Pheri, Bhagam Bhag, De Dana Dan, Welcome as well as the unreleased Bhoot Bangla and Haiwaan, and said he had learned so much from him. Asrani had been unwell for 15 days and was admitted to hospital with breathing issues; he passed away at around 3 pm and his family carried out the last rites privately.
