Kantara Chapter 1 worldwide box office collection day 9: Rishab Shetty film mints ₹500 crore, beats Coolie, War lifetime

“Kantara Chapter 1,” written and directed by Rishab Shetty (who also stars), has smashed records by crossing ₹500 crore globally within nine days of release, surpassing the lifetime box office collections of big films like War (₹475 crore) and Coolie (₹518 crore). In India alone, in its first nine days, it has earned around ₹360 crore net (₹432 crore gross), and on its ninth day it recorded a jump to ₹22 crore net domestically. Industry estimates place its global total after day nine closer to ₹520–540 crore, though its makers had earlier announced ₹509 crore in eight days. The film is now poised to enter India’s Top 25 highest-grossers and may cross ₹600 crore overall, possibly heading toward ₹800 crore if momentum continues strong.
