Bollywood actor Govinda recently addressed rumors about being habitually late to film sets, calling such claims defamatory. On a talk show episode, he expressed hurt at being labeled unreliable and pushed back on the notion that he should always arrive on time under any circumstance. He questioned, rhetorically, “Kiske baap ke andar taaqat hai ki woh 5 shift kare aur time pe aaye?” (Who has the strength to do five shifts and still be punctual?), arguing that exhaustion, traffic, scheduling conflicts, or delays from other departments can cause disruptions beyond his control. He also criticized gossip and media amplification of minor delays, urging people to pause and reflect before spreading baseless narratives.
