Veteran actor Asrani (passed away at the age of 84 after a prolonged illness) was caught on video dancing joyfully on stage to Sindhi songs at a public event just ten days before his death, seen at first standing with assistance and soon breaking into the steps himself, the clip shared by singer Pinky Maidasani on Instagram was captioned with: “Last event just 10 days back he was on stage and dancing on Sindhi tunes… what a life he lived to the fullest, a true gem artist our own legend the Asrani saheb.” Fans flooded the post with tributes, recalling him as “our smile” and “a legend in his own right,” while remembering his five-decade career in Hindi cinema, more than 350 films, including the iconic jail-warden role in Sholay—and noting he is survived by his wife Manju, sister and nephew but had no children.
