Housefull 5’ Sprints to ₹111 Cr, Overtakes ‘Sikandar’ as Year’s No. 4 Hindi Hit

Akshay Kumar’s slap-stick juggernaut Housefull 5 has stormed past Salman Khan’s Sikandar, becoming 2025’s fourth-highest Hindi grosser in just five days. Trade tracker Sacnilk pegs the all-India net at ₹111.25 crore: Friday ₹24 cr, Saturday ₹31 cr, Sunday ₹32.5 cr, Monday ₹13 cr and Tuesday ₹10.75 cr.

Housefull 5 thus eclipsed Sikandar’s 22-day haul of ₹110.1 crore, a blow to Khan’s action drama, which opened at ₹26 cr but faded to ₹2.1 cr by week three. Analysts credit Kumar’s rebound to punch-line humour, a hit soundtrack and a star-packed cast led by Riteish Deshmukh, Fardeen Khan and Abhishek Bachchan under director Tarun Mansukhani.

With only three blockbusters now ahead on the 2025 chart, exhibitors are watching whether the franchise can climb higher in its second weekend. For Kumar already buoyed by Sky Force and Kesari 2—the early run signals a full-throttle box-office comeback.
