Triptii Dimri on missing out on action in Dhadak 2 and beating up Siddhant Chaturvedi on the side

Triptii Dimri seems to have been secretly working on Dhadak 3—all on her own, with Aditya Thackeray by her side.

Okay, okay, to make things clearer: in a refreshingly candid interview with ETimes, Triptii shared some of the most fun and unexpected behind-the-scenes moments from the sets of Dhadak 2.

While the original Dhadak, released in 2018, became wildly popular thanks to its soulful soundtrack and touching storyline, Dhadak 2 comes with the promise of tugging at our heartstrings a little deeper. After all, if Bollywood romance doesn’t make you cry, what will?

In this sequel, Triptii stars opposite Siddhant Chaturvedi in what’s expected to be an emotionally rich romantic drama. But not all moments on set were intense and dramatic. Triptii admitted that she and Aditya—who also plays her friend in the film—often felt left out during Siddhant’s high-energy action sequences.

And that’s when boredom got a Bollywood twist. TMI, TMI! Triptii and Aditya would sneak off to a corner and start their own action series—complete with fake punches, dramatic poses, imaginary guns, and, of course, the whole action-hero attitude.

Director Shazia Iqbal would occasionally stumble into their mini-movie-making chaos and be completely confused. Triptii laughed as she recalled confronting the director with a mock tantrum: “Why haven’t you given us any action scenes? We’re in the middle of making Dhadak 3!”
