Following our favourite celebrities is quite alright, but sometimes the fandom needs to just slow down — because it might not be safe. And Salman Khan’s stardom is seriously no joke — it spans over generations, breaks boundaries, and sometimes… it gives rise to wild adventures.
Let’s narrow it down.
In a recent incident, three minor boys from Delhi went missing, all in the hope of meeting their Bollywood hero — Salman Khan.
The boys, aged 13, 11, and 9, were students from the same school in Sadar Bazar. On 25 July, they left their homes without telling anyone, determined to meet a man they met online — a certain Wahid from Jalna, who promised he could connect them with Salman Khan himself. Where did they meet him? A gaming app. Yes, that’s where this all started.
They even left behind a note, clearly stating they were off to meet Wahid. That small piece of paper kicked off a massive search operation spanning states.
CCTV footage later showed them near Ajmeri Gate, and police guessed they boarded the Sachkhand Express headed toward Maharashtra. Wahid, however, bailed when he realised the cops were involved. The boys got off at Nashik, confused but still on the move.
Luckily, tech did its job. Some brief phone activity helped track them down, and four days after they disappeared, the boys were found safe and sound at a Nashik railway station.
They're now under police protection and are being sent back home — probably with one heck of a story, but also a valuable lesson: Fandom is great, but safety comes first.
After all, Salman Khan isn’t going anywhere — but you might, if you hop on a train without telling your parents.
