Glamorous Priyanka Chopra just gave fans a nostalgic treat by celebrating 16 years of Kaminey with an emotional Instagram post. Sixteen years already—can you believe it? The film may have been gritty, but her tribute was nothing short of pure warmth, sprinkled with memories that had fans sighing and directors reminiscing. That film was quite something. In her post, Priyanka shared clips of her fiery Sweety Bhope opposite Shahid Kapoor’s Guddu and confessed she almost hesitated at first. “She has about eight scenes,” she told Vishal Bhardwaj, to which the filmmaker simply promised, “With us working on it, it will be so much more.” And well, he kept that promise. Their collaboration didn’t just give us Sweety, it opened the door to many more unforgettable films, including 7 Khoon Maaf. Priyanka, in her signature honesty, admitted she was simply greedy to work with him again.
Vishal Bhardwaj didn’t let her post slip by quietly either. He reshared it with a heartfelt note, calling Priyanka one of his finest collaborators and reminiscing about those golden days on set. He even revealed how he once soothed her anger with a handwritten poem on a napkin. Only Vishal could turn an apology into art. Priyanka’s reply was as charming as ever: “Hahaha aapse kaun naraaz reh sakta hai? Aaiye milne.”
Naturally, fans are now rooting for another Priyanka-Vishal pairing, because clearly, cinema deserves that spark again. But while nostalgia is sweet, Priyanka is already busy with the future—her upcoming project with SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu, SSMB29. As always, our desi girl knows exactly how to balance the past, the present, and the promise of what’s next.
